Stu Vander Hoek's First Blog

First, Thanks to Blaine Millet http://www.customerexperiencesinc.com and Clay Loges http://www.yodio.com for introducing Social Media and Blogging to me. I hope I have things to say that you will feel are interesting to read about.

Right now what's occupying a fair amount of my time are volunteer projects. I'm heavily involved in the Eastside Heritage Center http://www.eastsideheritagecenter.org/ Bellevue Strawberry Festival http://www.bellevuestrawberryfestival.org/. We're working real hard to keep our annual festival alive at the Crossroads International Park in Bellevue the weekend of June 27 & 28. Fundraising is in high gear. This is a great family oriented community event focused on our Eastside Heritage.

The other thing I'm working on is through Rotary International. I Co-Chair the Rotary District 5030 http://www.rotary5030.org/ Summer Youth Exchange Program. This One to One exchange will place 24 students in other countries for 3-4 weeks in each country. I've done this for 12 years and have been in Bellevue Rotary http://www.bellevuerotary.net/ for 32 years.

That's a start for now. I'll be back to share more about these interests, our bar in Old Bellevue called The Spot Off Main Neighborhood Bar & Billiards http://www.thespotoffmain.com/, our apartment properties in Old Bellevue http://www.mainplaceapartments.com/ and http://www.courtyardoffmainapartments.com/, Downtown Bellevue, Old Bellevue merchants, the Bellevue Downtown Association activities http://www.bellevuedowntown.org/, Bellevue Rotary, and various other things I get involved in.

Talk to you later.
Stu

  1. Stu,

Great Job!! Welcome to the wonderful world of Social Media. This is a lot of information - you are an active guy and doing a lot of great things. I look forward to hearing more about all of them and "your perspective" on what is going on in Bellevue and surrounding areas since you and your family have been involved for a very long time. There will be some great historical linkages that only you will be able to share.

Thanks again for the update and welcome.
